The Grays Ferry NAC meets regularly with 5 other neighborhood groups: Martin Luther King Village NAC, Rainbow Coalition, Committee of Concerned Citizens, Friends of Stinger Square Association, and the Forgotten Bottom Neighborhood Association. They meet to discuss our community and what needs to be done so that we can improve the quality of life for the entire community. We are working along with the Police, Sanitation, Recreation, and Education, Zoning, Housing, Senior Citizen Housing and Drug Enforcement.
We encourage community participation, and refer residents to all services offered by the city, state and federal government. We put regular announcements in the South Philly Review, which is a free weekly publication reaching 72,000 homes.
We distribute the Grays Ferry Gazette 4 times a year. It is distributed to the Block Captains and businesses in the community. Our newsletter informs our residents of city services as well as upcoming meetings, programs and activities being run during that time period. Also (depending on space available) we welcome small announcements from other groups introducing new programs or helpful workshops. The NAC continues to announce all future meetings and will try to reach the broadest possible base of residents.
